RETURNS & REFUNDS

14-Day Right of Return (change of mind)

Even though our wallpapers are printed to order, we accept change-of-mind returns within 14 days of delivery, in addition to your statutory rights, provided the following conditions are met:

  • The item must be unused, not installed, and in its original packaging, in resaleable condition.
  • You must notify us of your intention to return the item within 14 days of receipt at contact@houseofwallpaper.co.uk
  • The item must be returned to us within 14 days of your notification.
  • Return shipping costs are at the customer's expense.

Order Cancellation

Our priority is to print and dispatch your order as quickly as possible while maintaining the highest production standards. To ensure efficient processing and avoid unnecessary waste, production preparation begins 24 hours after order confirmation.

This 24-hour window allows customers to request any changes or cancellations before production starts.

  • Within 24 hours of payment : orders can be modified or cancelled for a full refund.
  • After 24 hours : orders can no longer be cancelled or refunded, as the wallpaper is then produced specifically to the customer's measurements and specifications, unless the item arrives faulty, damaged, or incorrect.

Customers are encouraged to contact us as soon as possible should they wish to amend or cancel an order.

Refunds (if applicable)

Once a returned item has been received and inspected, we will notify you by email regarding the approval or rejection of your refund request.

If approved, the refund will be processed automatically to your original method of payment. Please allow several business days for the refund to appear, depending on your payment provider.


Late or Missing Refunds

If you have not yet received your refund:

  1. Please check your bank account again.

  2. Contact your credit card provider, as processing times may vary.

  3. Contact your bank, as additional processing time may be required.

Exchanges

If you need to exchange a incorrect or damaged item for the same product, please contact us at:

Please include:

  • your order number
  • clear photos of the issue and packaging
  • a short description of the problem

If you discover a manufacturing defect or non-conformity later on, please contact us as soon as you become aware of the issue, your statutory consumer rights apply throughout the legal warranty period.

Depending on the circumstances, we will offer a replacement, reprint, or refund.

 


Returns Shipping

  • For defective, damaged, or incorrect items, we will cover the return shipping costs or arrange collection at our expense. For any other return requests, return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer. 

For items with a value over £75, we recommend using a tracked delivery service or purchasing shipping insurance. We cannot guarantee receipt of returned items without tracking.


Right to Cancel

Your Right to Cancel (UK Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013)

In accordance with the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, customers normally have the right to cancel an order within 14 days of receiving the goods.

While made-to-order goods can normally be excluded from this right, we choose to honour the 14-day return right for our customers, subject to the conditions set out in the "14-Day Right of Return" section above.

This right does not apply to:

  • items that have been installed, used, or opened in a way that prevents resale
  • items damaged after delivery (other than as a result of our error)
  • items returned outside the 14-day notification window
  • items not returned in their original condition

For faulty, damaged, or incorrect items, you remain fully covered as set out in the "Defective, Damaged, or Incorrect Items" section.
